Pleuropulmonary blastoma (PPB) is a rare, aggressive, primary intrathoracic malignancy of mesenchymal origin that arises from the lung parenchyma, pleura, or both, almost exclusively in infants and young children. It is part of the DICER1 syndrome tumor spectrum.
