A simple bone cyst (SBC), also known as a unicameral bone cyst (UBC), is a benign, fluid-filled lesion typically affecting the metaphysis of long bones in skeletally immature individuals.

- It is non-neoplastic, but important due to its risk of pathologic fracture.
Epidemiology
- Age: Common in children and adolescents, typically between 5 and 15 years
- Sex: Male > Female (2–3:1)
- Incidence: Second most common cystic lesion in bone (after aneurysmal bone cyst)
